We implement in our residence a Person-centred Care Model led by the Alfaguara group. Person-centred care means treating people as individuals and as equal partners; it is personalised, coordinated and enabling. It is a multidisciplinary model, recognising that a person may need more than one professional to support them.

This framework comprises four fundamental principles:

• Making sure people have access to appropriate care that they need, when and where they need it
• Emotional support to relieve fear and anxiety;
• Supporting people to recognise and develop their own strengths and abilities to enable them to live an independent and fulfilling life.
